Clear rules for using the shopping-list, recipe and loyalty-card app.
1. Acceptance
These Terms govern the use of Pocket Shopping Companion, provided by Akcio. By installing or using the app, you confirm that you have read these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
2. Purpose and requirements
The app helps users create shopping lists, store recipes and static loyalty cards, share selected content, and create optional backups. You must use it lawfully and comply with the app store rules and the terms of any third-party services you use.
3. User data and content
You are responsible for lists, recipes, links, codes, images and other content you enter, and for having the right to use it. The app must not be used to store or distribute unlawful, harmful or rights-infringing content.
Core data is stored locally. Akcio does not operate user accounts or a server containing users' lists, recipes or cards. Data practices are explained in the Privacy Policy.
4. Loyalty cards
The app is an independent tool for storing static card codes. Akcio does not issue cards, guarantee that a code will be accepted, or claim affiliation with retailers or loyalty programs unless expressly stated.
You are responsible for following the card issuer's rules, protecting codes from unauthorized access, and not adding another person's card without permission.
5. Backups and Google Drive
Local and Google Drive backups are optional. Once an account is connected, the app uses only its hidden application-data folder through the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata scope. In-app backups contain recipes and loyalty cards, including optional images, but not shopping lists.
You are responsible for maintaining any backups you need and checking that they can be restored. Google Drive availability depends on Google, your account, network and device settings, and is also governed by Google's terms.
6. Sharing, links and third-party services
You choose the recipients of shared files and text. Once data leaves the app, Akcio cannot control its further use. Recipe links lead to independent websites whose content and operation are not controlled by Akcio.
The app uses Google services including Google Play, Google Drive, Google Code Scanner, ML Kit, AdMob and UMP. Those services operate under their own terms and policies.
7. Advertising
The app may display ads supplied by Google AdMob. The type of ads depends on your region, settings and choices. Advertising privacy options are available in the app when required by law or the platform.
8. Availability and liability
The app is provided as currently available. Akcio works to keep it reliable but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device, or error-free product suggestions, links, scanning or third-party services.
To the extent permitted by law, Akcio is not liable for data loss, unsuccessful purchases, rejected cards, a recipient's handling of shared data, or third-party service interruptions. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Changes, stopping use and contact
You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time. Before removal, you should create any backup you require. Akcio may update features and these Terms; material changes will be published here with a revised date.
