Pocket Shopping Companion is designed to keep core information under the user's control. Akcio does not operate a server containing users' lists, recipes or loyalty cards and cannot access content saved in the app.
1. Developer, app names and contact
The app is developed and provided by Akcio under the localized names Kieszonkowa lista zakupów, Pocket Shopping Companion, Mein Einkaufsbegleiter, Mi asistente de compras, Meu assistente de compras, Teman Belanja, Cep Alışveriş Asistanı and पॉकेट खरीदारी साथी. All names refer to the same Android app with the package identifier pl.akcio.kieszonkowalistazakupow.
Privacy questions can be sent to patryk.akcio@gmail.com.
2. Information stored by the app
Depending on how it is used, the app may store:
- shopping lists, product names, categories, quantities, units and item status;
- list names, store profiles and custom category order;
- recipes, portion counts, ingredients and optional links;
- loyalty-card names, code type and value, color, favorite status and optional image;
- custom categories and product assignments in the local dictionary;
- language, appearance, backup, advertising and tutorial settings.
Providing this information is voluntary, although some information is needed for selected features.
3. Local storage and Android system backup
App data is stored in the app's private storage on the device by default. Akcio does not receive a copy and does not use it for analytics, profiling or advertising.
If device backup is enabled, Android may automatically include app data in a system backup or transfer it to a new device. This system feature is separate from backups created inside the app and is controlled through Android and Google Account settings. See Android Auto Backup for details. Akcio does not receive these backups.
4. Loyalty cards, camera and images
For camera scanning, the app uses Google Code Scanner. The scanner runs through Google Play services without granting the app persistent camera permission; images are processed on the device and the app receives the code result.
Users can also select a screenshot or image through the Android system photo picker. The selected image is analyzed on the device with ML Kit, can be cropped and stored in private app storage. The app does not scan the complete photo library. Card numbers and codes are shown on screen when requested by the user.
5. Optional Google Drive backups
After explicitly connecting a Google Account, users can create manual or automatic backups. The app requests the limited https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata scope, which lets it manage only its own files in the hidden application-data folder.
This in-app backup includes only recipes and loyalty cards, including optional card images. It does not include shopping lists, store profiles or the local product dictionary. The app retains no more than the two newest backups and removes older ones.
Data is sent directly between the device and Google over an encrypted connection. Akcio does not receive access to the account, authorization token or backup contents. Google Drive use is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
6. Local files and sharing
Users can create a local backup of recipes and cards or share selected shopping lists, recipes or loyalty cards as a file or text. A card package may contain card names, codes, visual settings and optional images.
Akcio does not select recipients and does not receive these files or messages. After information leaves the app, its handling depends on the user, recipient and selected app or service.
7. Recipe links
Optional recipe links are opened only at the user's request in the selected browser. The browser and visited website may process IP addresses, cookies or other information under their own policies. Akcio does not receive browsing history.
8. Google services, advertising and privacy choices
The app uses Google Play, Google Drive, Google Code Scanner, ML Kit, Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). AdMob displays banner ads, while UMP presents required privacy messages and stores privacy choices.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share with Google the IP address, app and ad interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID and app set ID. This data may be used to deliver and measure ads, analyze the advertising service, and prevent fraud.
Depending on region and user choices, personalized, non-personalized, limited or technical ads may be displayed.
The app does not send shopping-list content, recipes, loyalty-card codes, images or backup contents to AdMob. Akcio does not sell this information.
In the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland, and in applicable US states, the app uses UMP to present required consent and privacy choices. When required, app settings provide an entry point to reopen privacy options.
Google explains how it uses information at Google. Information about advertising partners is available in the UMP message and through Google AdMob.
9. Retention and deletion
Users can delete information by:
- deleting a list, recipe, card or image in the app;
- clearing app data in Android settings or uninstalling the app;
- managing Android system backups in device or account settings;
- disconnecting Google Drive and selecting deletion of backups created by the app;
- deleting exported or shared files from their selected storage.
Akcio cannot remotely delete local data or files shared with other people because it has no access to them.
10. Security
The app limits data access to what its features require. Local data is kept in private app storage, Google connections use HTTPS, and imported backups and packages are validated before restoration. Users should protect their devices because a displayed loyalty-card code can be read by anyone with access to the screen.
11. Children
The app is not specifically directed at children, and Akcio does not knowingly collect children's personal data. An Akcio account is not required.
12. Changes, questions and user rights
This policy may be updated as the app evolves or legal requirements change. The current version and revision date will remain available at this address.
Because Akcio does not operate an app-data server, it will generally have no app content it can identify or provide in response to a request. For privacy questions and data-rights requests, contact patryk.akcio@gmail.com.
